Inspiration from Mobile Gaming: Gamanza Games’ Head of Studio speaks to iGaming Future
Gamanza Games’ Head of Studio, Filip Matijevic recently spoke to Curtis Roach of iGaming Future. Filip discussed his vision for the studio and appealing to a new generation of casino players.
“I believe there should be an alternative to slots—something more familiar to the generations ageing into gambling. We are producing such games. One element that works well for us and increases engagement is integrating video gaming-inspired features into games.”
Gamanza Games has been set up and launched in its native Swiss market where the studio has enjoyed a number of major first-to-market successes. In July of last year Gamanza Games launched Air Racer, the first crash game to go-live in the Swiss market, which has been followed up this year with the sustained popularity and success of the first Plinko game on the market, Plinkoinko. Both of these games have added new features and unique twists to well established arcade casino games, although Gamanza Games is also developing completely original concepts, a formula that is building a solid identity for the young studio.
Filip underlined this intent by stating, “This year, we will release five more games, bringing our total portfolio to 14. Each game will have the special Gamanza Games touch. Some will be innovative, featuring new math and mechanics not seen in the market before. Others will implement popular game mechanics like Plinko or Crash.”
